Consignment Policy

We will accept your chic designer items at any time and offer you higher percentage (negotiable). You can drop off your items during our open hours. We will accept up to 10 articles per drop off.

All items must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned & on hangers. Items must come in ready-to-sell condition.

Colours Exchange accepts on consignment items of higher value that are NEW or like NEW only (exception for designers bags, coats and some special vintage and designer pieces)

Prices are based on salability, demand, condition, brand and style. Items are priced and reduced at our discretion and may be subject to sales, membership discount and promotions.

Clothing is kept on consignment for minimum 4 months up to 6 months (depending on the agreement). Items that are not picked up after 6 months become property of Colours and can be donated.

For all items sold for more than $100 clients receive 50% commission. For items sold for less than $100 clients receive 40% commission. We pay at the end of consignment period by cheque or e-transfer.

With sufficient notice (5-7 days), we will assist in returning your items priced $50 or more. Colours will not be locating items priced less than $50. Items not sold will be donated to Great Finds charity or other places.

Please call us for your account status. The commission has to be collected within 12 calendar months.

Colours Exchange cannot take responsibility for stolen or damaged items.
